What is yoga like?

There are many styles of yoga and many different teachers making it hard to generalize. When you practice at our studio, you are guaranteed to build strength, balance, and flexibility. You'll move and sweat throughout class so you can completely relax at the end. Yoga is like meditation in motion.
 

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

Not at all. Your flexibility will increase as you practice yoga.
 

Is this hot yoga?

We keep the room at a warm 90 degrees. The warmth allows your muscles to move more freely and gives your body a chance to sweat out toxins.
 

I'm a beginner. What classes should I take?

You are welcome to attend any of our classes (our teachers are accustomed to teaching all levels), but we also have a quarterly Beginners Workshop Series designed just for you. We also offer Basics: Level Two classes that move a little more slowly with more detailed instruction. If you would like a personal in-depth introduction to yoga, we also offer private lessons.
 

How do I sign up for classes?

Show up at the front desk and give your name, and we'll sign you in. You may also reserve your space in Dallas or Plano online or through our app.
 

When should I show up?

If it's your first visit, arrive at least 15 minutes early to get registered. If you've been here before, please arrive 10 minutes before class to get signed up and comfortably set in the room. Make sure you're here before class time—If you arrive more than five minutes late, the front door may be locked.
 

Where do I park?

At the Plano studio (The Shops at Legacy): You may park anywhere nearby, but we suggest the blue parking garage, just west of the studio next to Ringo's Pub. Avoid the parking garage with the gates directly across the street, as we cannot validate.

At the Dallas studio (Preston and PGBT): There is ample parking right in front of the studio.
 

What should I wear to class?

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move and bend freely is best. Many yogis wear long, fitted, stretchy pants and shirts that allow free movement of the arms and shoulders.
 

What should I bring to class?

We have everything you need here! Mats, towels, props and water. At our Plano/Legacy location, please note that mats, towels, and mat towels are $2 each to rent (or $5 for all three). We have comfortable changing rooms, so come dressed for class or bring clothes you can sweat and stretch in.
 

Can I still practice if I have an injury?

It depends on severity of the injury, but you may be able to practice with some modifications. Be sure to let your teacher know before class so he or she can recommend alternative poses or modifications if necessary. The instructor can also check your alignment to ensure you won't exacerbate the injury.
